    Box-pleated hiker

My new Newsome kilt has been designated as my all-round hiking/walking/outdoors activity kilt. I love the earthy-woodsy colors! It will definitely get a workout.

Today I went on a short hike with my wife on a local trail. Here are a couple of cell-phone quality pix:

Your cell phone takes better pictures than my "point & shoot."

    Nice kilt.

Looks good, Brian. That is definitely a "woodsy" kilt.

Cool pics, Brian. I like that tartan more and more every time I see it. Where was that shot taken? Greenwood?...Cole?...I don't remember any bridges like that at Chenango Valley State Park so I'm guessing one of the BC parks. I gotta say, the southern tier has some of the most beautiful parks in the country. I really miss that area.

p.s. How does your blackthorn stick work for hiking? I saw one at a local Irish shop and was considering buying it.

Jay, it is indeed Nathaniel Cole park. There's a nice little trail that goes around the lake. And I love my blackthorn stick! Mine is a fairly thick, heavy version - great for hiking....

Great photos Brian the Tartan and the blackthorn go together so very well.
