It was a busy weekend

It was all go all weekend. Here's a few pics from the Sat night 30th wedding anniversary party we went to, with a 70's theme.

Unfortunately Les couild'nt make it cause she is in hospital recovering after a major bowel operation ... it was nothing sinister, a twisted bowel .. she's well on the mend by the way and should be home tomorrow or Thurs .. but we did take this pic into the hospital for her

Then on Sunday a few of our gang took off to the Big Cheese in Caerphilly. Others had the choice to come but were still dealing with hangovers ..

Here we are in a wetherspoons pub at the oblagatory coffee n beer before we set off on the train. Arwyn and me were taking the pics but our beers are there .. hair of the dog to put us right!


Then at the station .. its only 15 mins up the line.


Once we got there the weather was glorious thank goodness ..

The first tent we went in had the owl sanctuary people .. so the girls wanted some pics with 'em






Then in another tent there was a lady who looked after injured Barn owls but also had 2 albino ones. There are only 2 in the UK, which she had, and 14 in the world. She would'nt let us handle the one that she brought but allowed us to take some pics.
Both elaine and myself felt really privellaged to have been able to stoke such a rare bird.

Then we seen this guy with an albino Python and others


Soon after we met these guys .. they were a scream ..


Our youngest member had a great day out!

There was a fab falconry display ..

Then the girls wanted to go back to the craft stalls to buy one or two 'bargains' they spotted. So Arwyn and me took off to a nice little hideaway

An hour later (and a couple of beers later) the others caught up with us ..
