A Caricature

Well, I just got back from my girlfriend's 18th birthday party. Her parents hired a caricature artist to do drawings of all the attendees. Naturally, I wore my kilt. This is the cartoon done of me and Amanda:

This is just a photograph I took of it. The actual one is still at her place. Unfortunately, my camera cut off the castle on the right. I think that it's supposed to be Loch Ness, considering the sea monster on the lower left.

What a unique reminder of your evening. Make sure you have it framed to preserve it.

    Interesting birthday gift

I never heard of hiring an artist to entertain the birthday party crowd. What an unusual gift to give the birthday girl.

    Any idea what he charged?

Hmmmm.....your body looks a little on the small side. How did you get a kilt that fit properly?

Looks like you probably had a good time at that party.

    That's the plan.

It did seem a bit odd. But then, they are a bit odd.

    Why, here, of course!

And I did have fun. I was, aside from her father and brother, the only male there. I was, of course, kilted. Afterwards, Amanda said that her friends all like me, but "think the kilt is a little weird."

The notation on the Caricature says it all, "Cute Couple."
