Casual, Dressy, and Formal Kilt

In the spirit of Panache's threads about kilts worn at different levels of formality, I decided to post pictures of the same kilt worn in different situations, to show the varieties possible. In these pictures I am wearing the same McIan tartan kilt made by Alexis Malcolm.

My casual picture (with some of my favorite models ):

Yet another reason to wear the kilt. How do you dress up a pair of jeans or dress down tuxedo pants and still pull it off. Very nicely done!

Dave,

Those are all great pictures. I remember the wonderful formal picture from your post about your cruise. I hope you will add each of theose photos to the appropriate thread. They are all excellent examples of casual, dressy, and formal looks. My idea was to have a visual resource with little chit chat for people to peruse to get ideas for their own looks.

Cheers

I included these pictures, as well as some others, in those threads.

I wanted to start a different thread to show the versatility of the traditional woolen kilt. You can dress the traditional kilt up or down, even a brightly colored one like the MacIan tartan. You just can't do that with too many garments.

In my casual photo above (the Hooters shot ), I had just finished a Volksmarch, so I had on my walking shoes with that one.

Here's another dressier shot with the same kilt at the Christmas party:

As I get pictures of the same kilt in other situations, I will post them here.
