Thanks for the trip!

Wonderfull photos once again. Always makes me feel like I'm there. I can't hardly wrap my mind around history that old! Our oldest building here, a former methodist Church and current home for our Civic Theatre, is a whopping 100 years. Thanks for the "secret" travelogue!!

Your photo log has really gotten my heart racing! Poking around the ruins must have been an incredible time for you, especially it being a "secret visit".

I recall visiting The Hermitage before they did some restoration work a several years ago. It was an exhilarating adventure for my brother and me and this brings our experience back vividly. Thank You!!

My roots are around Ettrickbridgeend, and Kirkhope tower, recently restored, between there and Yarrow was built by "Auld Wat" of Harden the Reiver who is an ancestor. The Scott's and Douglasses weren't on the best of terms in those days.

I was last there in 1998, and am planning to visit again sometime in the next couple of years. I can't wait.....
