Celebrating the Repeal of the Act Prescribing the Wearing of Highland Dress

Yesterday, to celebrate the 227th anniversary of the Repeal of the Act Prescribing the Wearing of Highland Dress, I wore my new USA Kilt casual kilt in the Caledonia tartan. I was a big hit with the members of the community I manage. As they not only got to see the beautiful tartan but to hear a wee bit of history.

Later in the afternoon, a new friend a Scotsman and a piper came by and after a adjusting my hose and sporran was also pleased to be photographed with me.

In the evening I went to the Fredericksburg Pub to have a few celebrating pints. This Bell Haven Scottish Ale was for Sir William. For Kerr the Walker I downed a Dogfish IPA. The kilted serving staff was once again very appreciative of their kilted patron.

Great pics, the Caledonia tartan is on my wishlist. It's 30C here in Norway and the pic of the Bellhaven made me thirsty.
