Apologies to all...
I feel I owe some apologies, both for the kilt night and for the delay in the apology for the kilt night
I had a friend in town whom I have not seen in some time. He wanted to meet up, and since I was already headed for the Duke, I suggested we meet there. He lives way out in the western suburbs, so I assumed that he would want to take off relatively early, at which point I could join the kilted festivities. Didn't quite work out that way.
So, I'm really not as anti-social as I might have otherwise appeared, but for the moment you'll just have to take my word for it. Sorry for missing out on the fun and if I appeared to be stand-offish. Just a timing screw-up on my part.
And then I went out of the country for a while, and didn't really have a chance to post again until now, so sorry it took so long to respond.
It was a good-looking crowd, and everyone seemed to have a good time. Next kilt night that comes up, I'll make sure my calendar is clear of other obligations.
