Christmas has come early in GA

I arrived home yesterday afternoon to find a wonderful package on my doorstep. Santa's elves (aka Rocky & Kelly from USA Kilts) have produced some fine kilts for this good little boy. The craftsmanship is incredible and they arrived when promised. What can I say? Rocky and Kelly are awesome!

    The order included:

A primier 13 oz. Co. Galway
A 5 yd. 16 oz. Earl of St. Andrews
    A semi-traditional Ireland National
    A casual Thompson (Grey)

It will be a very kilted Christmas indeed!

    Pleats of the Co. Galway

Needless to say, which one do I wear first?

Also, I'm looking for suggestions as to what color hose I should wear with the Co.Galway kilt to a formal function on New Years Eve. I was thinking about lovat green.

I would go with a darker bottle green hose then the lovat green...Just my humble opinion.

    Lucky you.

Oh my stars - looks like Santa's sleigh tipped over in your front yard! The Co. Galway is spectacular - is that a House of Edgar county tartan?

Congratulations young man and Happy Christmas!

Honestly, I have been on a little kilt binge this fall. I guess there is a little "Hamish" in all of us! However, this order should prevent Mr. and Mrs. "Jones" from visiting my home for a while. (Although I do have a few more suprizes on the way...)

Phil, you are correct. The Co. Galway is a House of Edgar tartan. However, it is my understanding that other mills also make a variation of this tartan which is slightly different.

These are great! Congrats on the new kilts!
Suggestion for wearing: one in the morning, one in the afternoon, one in the evening, and one at night!

As for what hose to wear for the formal night are you wearing a PC or an Argyll jacket, and are you going with a Black bow tie?

I have both an Argyll and a PC. I will be wearing a black bow tie, and I'm currently leaning toward the PC jacket.
