These are the falls I visited on Thursday at Wakehurst Place ("Kew in the Country") here in West Sussex. Actually, I think they compare very favourably with yours!!!!!

Make sure you use some insect repellent. I managed to get badly bitten in the gap between kilt and hose. Fortunately the itching didn’t start till later, so I was still able to enjoy the walk and the waterfalls.

Are the falls near Rhymney, Derek?
My train photography exploits have taken me up the valleys as far as Rhymney a few times - must go and see these falls next time.
The caves and the falls are near to the villages of Ystradfellte, Penderyn and Pont Nedd Fechan. I've just been sent these two pics from the same day .. both are when we were on route to one of the waterfalls.
