    Cilts 'n Umbrellas

They have given out that there will be some heavy showers during the day. So I've got my Cymru umbrella out just in case it decides to have a downpour during the St David's Day Parade we going on.

I'm taking my ordinary black umbrella!

Should be a good day rain or shine but preferably shine!

Is it no bad luck to open an umbrella in a house?

Fortunately we didn't actually need them as the weather stayed dry!

It certainly is, Mike - I wouldn't do it to save my life! However, I have been told that it's alright just as long as you keep the umbrella upside down whilst it is open.

I wouldn't want to be in Derek's boots for a while to come!

The old tale is that you must never put the umbrella up over your head in the house. Sideways or upside down is ok . We will (and lots of others that we know) will leave a wet umbrella up and on its side by the back kitchen door to dry out.

Not me, Derek! My wet umbrellas stay in the garage (!) until dry or under cover outside the back door. Inside the house? No way!
