The Clan and the Cog
All this mountain air is making me tired so I won't post many pictures tonight.

Steve Cunningham (CSCunningham) and myself took a ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway

There had been a fresh dusting of snow at the summt

At the summit of Mount Washington, 6,288 feet Above Mean Sea Level.

A view on the ride down as we passed an upward bound bio-deisel powered train.

At lunchtime some of the clan began to congregate at the base station of Wildcat Mountain.

The gondoliers on Wildcat Mountain.

Kilted group on Wildcat Mountain. By now the summit of Mount Washington, which is behind us, was shrouded in cloud by mid afternoon. While Steve and I had been on Mount Washington, our fellow clansman had completed a kilted zipslide on Wildcat Mountain. Is this a first?

Alex, great!! You finally made the cog railroad up Mt. Washington! Looks like you all had a fun day. I told you to go prepared for the cold. Thanks for sharing the day with us. Wish I could have been there.

The boiler is angled so the water stays level for the average incline on the mountain which is 25%.

Great pictures. I was at the top of Mt Washington for the first time just a couple months ago. It is an incredible place!
