    Clanjamfry, Memphis, TN-Sept 2009 (McIntyre's Pics)

On Saturday, September 26, 2009, I was by chance in Memphis at the same time as the Clanjamfry. This was my first visit to this Scottish festival and feel fortunate to have been able to visit.

The Clanjamfry is held on the pretty grounds of the Evergreen Presbyterian Church.

Also, by luck I came upon Dirk Skene in his tent!

The opening parade was at noon -

Dirk in the parade for Clan Skene -

The parade ended with the Wolf River Pipe & Drums doing their thing -

But, THE SHEEP ACTUALLY ESCAPED!! (It wasn't my fault)

...and, off down the street they went!! I never saw them come back, either -

These are some grand pictures indeed. Looks to be a lovely place for the gathering, lots of shade. Thanks for sharing your outing with us!

    In the first pic...

    Hey Jack,
I'm in the first pic you posted-Look for 2 guys on the right side, just before the Clan Campbell tent (yellow banner). I am the guy on the left.

I do remembre seeing you there now. I almost stopped to ask you about your sporran, but I was on a 'mission' when I noticed it.

Those are some great pics. You really have an eye-and memory-for detail!

So, do I get to change my kilt count when I have saved half the money to buy my next or when I get all the money together and actually order it? Either way, I'm getting close to 1.5!

    Thank JSN!

I see you, vm! When you posted your pics, I looked for myself, but wasn't as lucky as you. I very much enjoyed this event; albeit small, it's growing!

I also forgot to mention the best part of the place - indoor plumbing!

I am waiting for the pics from my new friends at the Clan Wallace tent. I'll be sure to look for you in them and post any I find!
