Clear Lake Celtic Festival - Highland Games
I got out there late because I didn't realize they had any games going on but here's a few I did get that were somewhat worth showing.

Cool pictures. I love seeing this sort of stuff.
That wasn't a 56# weight was it? Looked a little small.
.. the kilt had concealed a blaster strapped to one thigh and a knife to the other. He was aware of the present gentle customs against personal weapons, but he felt naked without them. Such customs were nonsense anyhow, foolishment from old women - there was no such thing as "dangerous weapons," only dangerous people.

I didn't pick it up myself, but looking at the trouble they were having with it, I'm thinking it probably was.

What was the date on that competition? I'm in training now for the Houston Highland games in May 2008...Great photos too.

Excellent pics - its always difficult to capture action shots such as weights over the bar or caber tossing.
