Corduroy K-Kilt #1

YEAH! I did it! My first kinguisse, and by far my best make yet.

FYI:
X-kilt = box pleat
Y-kilt = knife pleat
K-kilt = kinguisse

Not-so-great pictures, but you get the idea. Also missing a nice brown belt, but that'll come along sometime. And I don't wear crocs with a kilt normally; those are my house slippers. And the top d-rings look odd. (Why am I putting on all these qualifiers? I dunno. On to the pictures!!!)

Next up - camo kinguisse.

Nice shoes - I have had a pair of those crocs for about two months now, and little else gets worn around the house!

Nice work on the kilt, might I suggest that you invest in a leather sporran strap as it will not damage the kilt as your chain certainly will, as well this kilt by nature is a casual one and therefore to mind anyway does not need a sporran chain.

Nice work but I say that corderoy should only be worn in trouser form the zip, zip sound of thighs rubbing together as you walk. It's the reason corderoy was invented.

McMurdo this should be worn with the sporran, no pockets. I agree lose the chain though. Since this is an unusual material for a kilt perhps it calls for an unusual sporran solution.

Grant, we're going to give you special dispensation: whenever you wear a corduroy kilt, you may wear panty-hose with it.

Woaaaah- JELOUS!! JELOUS!!!!

That is a good looking kilt. Like the waist band and fittings. Width of apron should be just right too.

I also like the look of the sporan chain, maybe it would be possible to sew a strip of suede as a protector onto the back of the chain, so as to combine the look with protection for the kilt?

But really now - footware - even round the house you need something - suede boots? chunky hose? The crocs and stripy socks just don't cut it with such a handsome kilt.
