Crazy Quilt Kilt
This is my new kilt I have sewn. The material is a double sided coating wool. This is kilt #4 and I have convised my self I am getting better. It may be a butt ugly kilt but it will be a nice warm kilt.
This side is the plaid side.

This is the back side and I still have the other side and I might make a maroon kilt.

I don't think I have ever seen a reversible kilt, where the fabric was a double layer. You have made a lined kilt?
You describe it as "double sided coating wool". Does that mean that the fabric is lined? Or is it coated? Or is it wool designed for coats.
What-ever the further information reveals, I like it. I, don't think however, that I would wear the maroon side out. I know that they sell denim that has a flannel like fabric attached, and I remember wearing jeans like that as a kid.
Neat kilt.

Very nice Robert that should keep you good and warm.

Well James this where I Purchased the material http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com
They said the material was for sutable for coats, and I do have jacket made of wool like this stuff. It is not finished yet, no fastners or lining on waist band.
I tried to design a reversable kilt but I just didn't work out correct, so I can either make another kilt or a blanket from the remainder. A maroon kilt might have some use in life.

Looks like this has great potential, either as a tartan kilt or as a maroon kilt.

IT IS MAROON!
I have no idea why the fabric looks pink in the pictures, it isn't!
Maybe it was a maroonish pink.
