    Cycling in a kilt

Recently in another thread, I was asked how does one bicycle in a kilt.

The answer is with class. This was taken while on a social outing with other tweed wearing cyclists in Portland, Oregon, on April 2nd.

While I was the only one wearing a kilt, I was not the only rider wearing tweed.

In fact we had about 100 cyclists, all wearing tweed for this ride that covered about ten miles of Portland's streets.

Unfortunatly I can't do that on my recumbent bike. Legs too far forward so the wind catches the kilt like a parachute.

A bungie cord used as a kilt garter (placed around the thighs) should solve that problem.

What is scary is that I've had that bike since it was new... In 1971. I've only had that kilt since 1980.
