The DC Hash House Harriettes and Harriers (DCH4)

For those of you that do not know this is from the DCH4 (District of Columbia Hash House Harriers & Harriettes) I have ran, although the proper terminology is HASHED with this group many times while on temporary duty in Wash DC, and for those runners out there that want to explore normally unseen parts of the DC Metro area, then contact these folks and I guarantee that you will have a grand time.

A drinking club with a running problem, but a great way to get a couple of hours of running in and not feel guilty at the middle and end for consuming two beers. The gentleman if I may use such kind words with the purple and white striped socks is none other than Mother Chalker, and the kilted wonder slips my mind as does the woman in jeans.

Did you know that the Hash House Harriers have designed their own Tartans, had the fabric woven, and are having Kilts made from it?

There are two Tartans one is called the Trail Tartan and the other the Hunting Tartan.

The Kilts are box-pleated of a light Poly/Wool.

The first two prototypes are currently being tested by Hashers around the world to verify the design and will end up in the Hashers Museum in Kuala Lampur.

That looks like fun. Very nice pics.

I was invited out to hash with a local group after they spotted me tending bar in my kilt. I really should go out sometime...
