    Definitely a Denim Day

Awoke this morning to find there had been an overnight fall of snow - heaviest so far this winter. Although it partially thawed during the day a further two inches deposit is forecast for tonight.

Definitely a day for the denim Union Kilt, rather than anything too dressy.

You look ready for the weather. How late in the year does it snow there?

I've not tried the Union Kilt in the snow Alex, mine is waiting for warmer weather, but I may just have to try it just to see.

Usually we get snow into springtime - I have even seen snow on the hills around here in May, and on one occasion in the first week of June, though after the end of February it would be very unusual for the snow to lie for more than a day or so - it usually thaws quickly - the blizzards we experienced at the end of February/beginning of March 2001, were exceptional.
We got another fall of snow last night so today I wore my other (light blue) denim Union kilt.

It's hard to think of snow when the temperature here is 60 deg f. and it's 22:00 hrs. Looks like it's going to be in the 70's Tuesday. Global Warming, ya know.
Still, out, standing in my field.
