oan Tues 19 o' Sept...
it wuz oan that nicht because the Globe Inn wuz havin the World Burns Federation Tam o' Shanter contest...
6 competitors performin Burns Tale "Tam o' Shanter"... judged by the president o' the World Burns Federation and the president o' the Ladies Burns Club Number 1, Dumfries.... an last years winner....
sae... since Tony (Sp8) and his wife LaDonna where visitin and
Jim & Claire (friends frae Los Angeles) were visitin'
we kilted oop an went tae the Globe fur the contest...

the Tam o' shanter contest wuz very guid an we enjoyed it very much...
we also had several whiskies...
Talisker...
Oban...
Dalwhinnie...
Glenkinchie...
an pints o' Theakston XB...
then although it wuz late... we were aff tae the Robert The Bruce pub... wi' a wee stop aff at the Burns statue...
