Yes, a great night with great people with great drams (with a few pints in between for the thirst) 
Went down to Anderson's the next morning to see what they had off the peg. I didn't have to think twice when I came across a brand new 16oz House of Edgar 8yrd Irish National - perfect fit, and a snip at £195 (reduced from £395).

I'm beginning to think that when planning a whisky tour of Scotland, one might be advised to add an extra week just for a stay at Ferintosh!

aye... no many distilleries here (ainly 3 Lallan yins left) but plenty o' whisky tae bae drammed a Ferintosh an in Dumfries!!!
