Dumfries Pre Burns Supper Pub Crawl

Before heading over to Dumfries to meet the rabble at Ferintosh I called in at the hospital to visit Ann - she is much improved and now walking a little.

The rabble outside Cavens after our meal.

Kilted rabble at Burns Statue

Spontaneous clowning in Friars Vennel.

Outside the New Bazaar

Watching the River Nith flowing over the weir.

The river was flowing fast
After the snow melted from the hills and heavy rain fell.

We were tempted to get up to some mischief at the entrance to the Visit Scotland office.

In the Coach and Horses

Kiwi Kiltie
Rick won the prize for the furthest travelled - from Palmerston North, New Zealand.

As usual the kilts were a big hit wi' the local lassies.

Outside the Coach and Horses

And finally sandwiches and sausage rolls for supper in the Globe.

Alex thanks for the photos, my favourite has to be the first one, it's good to see Ann up and about, and it's wonderful to hear that she is doing better. I'm sure there will be more photos to come so let me just say thank you for the wee taste of what I'm missing, hopefully I will be able to make it over for one of these, I think I will start planning for next year as it always looks like a wonderful time.

You all look great and like you're having a very good time...

...but Robertson looks like he needs to get some sleep! Don't you fellas keep him up too late.

I'm sure that he'll perk up, though.

Best

Yes, it's good to see Ann up and about, even if only a little.

The rest of the night looks just grand, as well.
