Eventually sun shine and a Scottish approval

Yesterday afternoon, 1 December, I took a walk along a lake in our neighbourhood. The weather forecast had promised a sunny day but it wasn’t until one and a half hour before sunset that it broke through. And that after a November which had never, since they started to make statistics back in 1874, had so many days with rain, from dripping to pouring monotonously. 27 out of 30 days it was and with rainfall 59% above average.
How wonderfull therefore to see the sun.

Walking along a rather tall man in his fifties, I suppose, was coming towards me. From quite a distance I heard him shouting in an almost militarian style and in English:
    -Well, THIS is a sight.
    And coming closer, smiling:
    -Are you Scottish?
-No, actually not, I just like wearing the kilt.
-I am. But SPLENDID to see!

The lake is Lyngby sø [lake] some ten kilometres north of Copenhagen. The tartan is Douglas Green Modern.

It's a beautiful thing once those clouds finally part.

    Great shots.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Fantastic pics Greg. And to get compliments from a Scott must have made your day.

Nice photos. The sun streaming through the clouds and reflecting off the lake is very nice.
