Finally Wore the Prince Charlie in Public

My agency just had the annual Holiday party this week. Decided to give my Lochcarron Made-To-Measure Prince Charlie a whirl. Looks like my measurements have expanded. Left the vest at home. Didn't wanna do a bow tie so found an old thin black tie I probably have left over from NROTC days in the early 60s.

Tartan is the Cameron Red and Black from House of Edgar's Old and Rare collection. In honor of Catherine Cameron my five great grandmother who emigrated from Skye to Cape Breton Island.

Got a lot of positive comments on the overall turnout, no compliments on anything specific. These folks have seen me kilted for over five years so guessing the PC made the difference...course out here no one knows "the rule" so got away with things that are probably making the kilt police cringe.

Ron, looks good, and I like the choice of hose.

I really like the black flashes with the red hose. But watch out for the kilted gents speaking into their lapels. They probably don't think you are invested sufficiently in the PC...

I like the look, Ron. The hose and garter combination is a nice touch.

All the black and red works especially well on a jolly bearded man at Christmas. You look superb!

The local kilt police may have to set up a substation in the southwest. Only problem is the kilt kop has gained enough weight that he may have to buy 2 seats on the aircraft. Oh, well, he tends to overlook things when he actually see a kilt. Party on, Riverkilt.

I like the kilt, jacket, and sporran! And, red hose are my signature! Happy holidays.
