First Kilt - Memorial Day '07

It's a 12-13 oz weight, so a bit light. I'll go with a heavier weight on my next one. The tartan is Colquhoun Weathered.

Very nice, welcome aboard from sunny Arizona. I noticed in your heading that you are from West Jordan, my father is from there. My grandmothers house was a 90th south and redwood road. Spent many a summer there growing up.

That looks really good. And personally, having some of those good Highlander genes, I have a very high tolerance for cold, so I prefer the 13 oz material. It looks great, and I don't die of heat exhaustion in them. Except in the summer. I made the mistake of wearing a 13 oz'er to the Highlands Ranch games last August. It broke 100 and I thought I was going to DIE. We had to leave early. I have never left a festival early before...

I like the whole ensemble! Especially the sunglasses - they really help bring the clothes into the 21st century.

WOW... that's REALLY different looking from the regular Colquhoun. I like it!

Thanks for the comments. I wear sunglasses most of the time when I play outdoors. It hides my eyes when they bug out of my head from blowing.
I should have said this in the thread caption. This isn't really my first kilt - rather it's the first kilt I made myself.
