First kilt pic here on XMarks

Earlier this month I visited San Antonio, TX for a company meeting and after many comments at work about my kilt I decided to bring the kilt with me and let them finally see it. This is a simple photo but I like it. The tartan is Ferguson Ancient, 5 yard wool from Rocky at USA Kilts.

A few days after my trip my wife and I attended a performance of Monty Python's Spamalot. I wore my kilt to the show and to my surprise I had 4 different people come up to me saying how much they liked and the kilt and one even had her picture taken with me. All of that happened in about a 10 minute period. I found it funny that nearly 4 days in San Antonio not a single person really commented on my kilt. Yet when I got back home I had 4 people in 10 minutes. I cannot decide if it was because theatre people are more open and responsive to cultured things.

    That's a good picture.

Did they let you push the pram a lot?

    Dear Mr. Mark,

It looks very nice to me. And no white hose!

I like waistcoats. I will have to make one one of these days.

Very smart. I am never sure about wearing a waistcoat without a tie and usually end up putting a tie on, but with the blue shirt, it looks ok.
