After the parade waiting to be seated for dinner...

Re: First Time
Thanks. I've got my eye on the Law Enforcement Memorial Tartan but need to work out sizing and such. The kilt I'm wearing in the pictures is about two sizes to big but it belongs to the band. Thank God for suspenders and a belt!!! hee hee.

Re: First Time
Well done for getting past the first time out, always a bit daunting. Gets a lot easier as you go along. Definitely look for a sporran, makes all the difference to the "look". Like the way the jumper is smart but casual.
Sorry transatlantic school boy error, I should say sweater not jumper.

Looking good Ted. Other that adding a sporran I'd say you're well on your way to an ongoing kilt addiction. I especially like the look of a sweater with kilts, and yours definately goes well.

Re: First Time
Thank you. As for the sweater, the Pipes had on a jacket but there wasn't one to fit. Since the parade was a night parade, a black sweater worked just fine. As for the Sporran, I'm working on finding out what the "guidelines" are with the band but I have one from USA Kilts on my wish list for Christmas. It didn't look bad while marching without it as the snare takes up the space the sporran uses. Only without the snare, there is too much tartan in the front visible.

Re: First Time
Congratulations on you're first night kilted. You look great, and I like that sweater with it, too. Wishing you many more happy kilted years!
