Florida for Burns Nicht

Well as a few of you know I had the honour of giving the "Address" at Walt Disney World for Burns Night. It was a great evening. I'll post the pics as soon as I get them. The family really enjoyed the experience and the people at Disney are wonderful hosts.

What made the weekend particularly special for me though is that Disney World is only an hour from my parent's house in The Villages and this weekend was my Grandmother's 91st birthday. Also, I was able to attend my parent's local Scottish Society Burns night.

So a few pics:

My sons and I shortly after arriving at Orlando airport.

A (bad) pic of me stabbing another Haggis. As much of an honour as it was to do the Address at Disney it still isn't better than doing the Address for the group my parents belong to. They had about 170 people there for the evening.

Four generations. My parents, my grandmother, the wifey, my oldest boy and yours truly. And yes the little lady here is 91!

Very nice pictures. I would like to see a nicer shot of the tartan hose. You can't go wrong with tartan hose in Evening Dress.

What an amazing place to be able to address the Haggis!

OK I can't resist this Scottish Joke...

Q: What's the difference between Bing Crosby and Walt Disney?

A: Bing sings and Walt disnae!

Your family is very photogenic! Congratulations on doing the Address at Disney World, too.

What a great picture of your family! You all look splendid.

I hope you were able to control your herculean strength with your address (or at least find a stronger trencher!)

Cheers

Jamie

As for you Trefor...
