Foothills Highland Games
Well, the 7th Annual Foothills Highland Games in Hendersonville are in the past, and a good time was had by all.
There was an X Marks photo taken at the Clan MacBubba tent at 11:00am, and I didn't get any shots of that, because I figured there would be plenty posted here. But I did get some other photos, and have uploaded some in my blog.
Here ya go:

Nice Pics, Nelson.
Freedomlover and his wife were also in attendance, but came too late for the photo and I didn't get one of them to add here.
You missed the Montreat band, so here are three. "If you click them, they will grow."
Some of the Montreat group getting ready to march. My son MadBagpiper is the tall one in the center.

Drum majors from Deep River P&D (left) and Montreat Scottish P&D.

Closing ceremonies. One of the bands had left at this point, so the massed band was a bit thin. Madbagpiper in the center.

Yet more photos from the Foothills Games:
Color party and massed bands at the opening ceremony

Massed bands leaving the field after the opening ceremony

Re-enactors area

Another shot of the rabble at the games

And then there were yet more X-Markers - Thatcelticband played there.

Veterans of Commonwealth forces were invited to join the veterans parade. I think I was the sole New Zealand representative!

The Montreat Pipe band and the Blue Ridge Brass played together. Of particular note is the piper just to the left of the bass drummer. That's Tartan Hiker's son!

A great games - well run and fantastic fall weather.
