Forced to Wear a Kilt - Dressed for work

Wednesday, as I was unloading the 45 lb plates off the leg press machine in the gym, the plate that was in my hands one second was suddenly in contact with my rt foot. Mea maxima culpa! Result: fractured 1st metatarsal. Now I'm in a walking boot 24/7 (except for showers, etc.) to immobilize the foot. One thing I discovered is that I can't get pants on without taking off the boot.

So, I am forced to wear kilts!

Someone said that I would do anything to wear a kilt! Not this! But, there is a silver lining!

Here are a couple of pics. Here is a new style for wearing the kilt. Some people didn't even notice the boot until they got up close. Notice how the upper strap of the boot holds the flashes. (Yes, I like my tartan flashes.)

It's the Episcopal Clergy/Samuel Seabury tartan, commemorating the roots of The Episcopal Church USA with the Scottish Episcopal Church, Scotland in 1784. I know the man who designed it. It's a really nice tartan. Woven by D. C. Dalgleish and kilt by Kathy Lare. ---Christmas present from my wife!

A fine look for a boot rig.

Now if you had a Utilikilts black workman....

Hope it heals up soon - no fun for sure.
