| | | Fredericksburg Burns Night 2010 The Scottish Society of Fredericksburg held its 16th Annual Burns Night. Five of us XMarkers joined in the festivities. Our Burns Night had been postponed in January due to a snow storm,
Once again, we were fortunate to start the evening off with the rousing Eagles Pipe Band of Mary Washington University.

It was a great evening, with fine food, excellent entertainment and great comradely.
Ambjack and his Mrs. came.
Unfortunately, at the time of this group Xmarkers photo, Sir William and Mark Ellis had exited stage left.
MC, SVC40bt, Ambjack
Piperdbh had sent me this summer one of his silk dandelions. I used it along with this bow of Malcolm tartan (from our Clan AGM held at Ardifuir in the Argyll) for this fabulous corsage.
This was my first chance to wear my new Argyll hose that Panache had several us to purchase jointly from Josh at Skye Highland Outfitters. They are to die for!
The other Rabble were snapping pix and hopefully they will share some of them too. It was great having you guys, there! |

Unfortunately, most of my pictures didn't turn out. Here are a few that were acceptable.
The Country Club.
Small pipes and fiddle quartet.
Piping in the Haggis.
King o the puddin race.
The King's own guard.
Mael and Sir William.
Spontaneous entertainment.
My version of the fireplace pic. |

Handsome lads, great pictures. I'm sorry that I missed the dinner. Thanks Mael for the invitation. Sorry that I missed it!
I'll have to console myself with memories of last year's F'burg Burns Supper here.
