Galalaw Again and Hello from Ann

Before lunch I went out for an hour and took a walk to the top of Gala Law, as the sun had come out and melted all the snow.

Quite a few kilts in their very early stages of production on the lower slopes.

The Ordnance Survey post made a good spot to rest the camera on for a self portrait.

Looking east towards Rubers Law

Looking north-east towards the Minto Crags.

Still some scliffs of snow on the north facing slopes and behind trees where the ground had remained in shadow.

I returned home by the valley of the Stirches burn which was flowing fast from the sudden snow melt.

After lunch I visited Ann at the hospital and wheeled her through to their cafeteria so I could take this photo for her to say hello and to thank you all for your kind wishes.

Finally, as this is the last night of our festive lights show which has brightened up the town during those darkest days of the winter from the beginning of December till early January, and as a frost sets in under the clear sky, a view of Hawick High Street on my way home tonight.

Alex wonderful pictures again, normally I would say my favourites would be the shots of the early production kilts, however it does my heart good to see Ann up and about. Thank you for including that shot, and a continued speedy recovery to her.

Wish Ann a speedy recovery and hope she's out of the hospital and back home soon.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Looks great! I hope your kilt didn't make the sheep too nervous! I'm glad Ann is doing alright. Too bad I wasn't able to meet her while I was there.
