    The Grand Tetons

The Grand Tetons are one of the smallest mountain ranges in the world but it is also one of the most beautiful. Sitting just south of Yellowstone National park in Western Wyoming. The Tetons rise to over 13 thousand feet above sea level. Every time I come to this place I am in awe at their majestic beauty. I wish I had time to take off into their spectacular backcountry even for just a few hours. Sadly that was not the case this time Instead it was a 13 hour round trip to take care of a few vending machines. However I was able to take the wife for some very pleasant alone time on the way there and back. Of course I could not get this close to this awesome place with out grabbing at least one pic for my friends here on X-marks. Of course my favorite kilt is still MacLaren Modern Sport kilt.

Very nice! Looks just like Hwy 395 along the Sierra Nevadas south of Reno when I lived out there.

Beautiful mountains for sure - been a few years since I was up that way. They definately rate a kilt pic.

I was there back in 1979, had a great time then. Didn't think of a kilt in that time. Thanks for the pic!

    re: Grand Tetons

I liked the picture. There is a Scottish Festival every year in August. You can check it out at http://www.wyohighlanders.net/

You might get a little more time in your kilt in the tetons that way.

You're certainly right about the beauty! It will be fun to be in Jackson on the 19th and 20th of this month (August) for the Highland games. Are you going to be there?

Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.
