    Great Kilt and cadadh

    WARNING....5 mb video ahead!

    http://cmgm.stanford.edu/~ahebert/cadadh-greatkilt.wmv

I really shot that for the cadadh, but the great kilt is something that I wrote about in the DYI forum as being a great deal @ $6.99 a yard, so there it is. I sewed up the cadah last night and this morning, seeing as I've got a godawful head cold, and stayed home from work, today. I stitched in the great kilt pleats for general ease of wearing, but it does make storing the thing a bit more difficult. I think the kilt will get an ironing before I wear it out and about!

I also made the doublet... The shirt I bought years ago on a whim and thought I'd never wear! BTW, I took video 'cause the display on my digital camera is shot and I can't find the time-delay to take stills...set the camera and walk away!

Alan, they look great. If you ever decide to make another pair, please consider making a video of the basic steps of the process. I for one would really appreciate it.
