Halloween at the Texas Ren Fest 2010
Last weekend, (10/30) some of the Girltorage and I ventured back to the Texas Renaissance Festival for the "All Hallows Eve" themed weekend, and there were a lot of interesting sights to see....

Here's me with Sandy and my wife Shelley in their Halloween colors.

Renfamily; Sandy with her sister, daughter, and neices.

Steampunk folk.

A lovely visitor from a galaxy far, far away..

And of course I took in a Circa Paleo show...

Where Jay and I had to compliment each other's kilts!

More to come....
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

Great photos, Z. Looks like a nice day. What was the temperature like? '70's? '80's?

Thanks ! It was a very nice day! I think the day started out in the lower 60s, but there was not a cloud in the sky all day, so Mr.Sun warmed it up fast to the mid 80s by lunchtime.

the rest of the story
Great pics. Much fun being had by all regardless of how dressed. Now
where do we go to get the non-family-friendly pics?

I think I should begin the process of my PhD. in Anthropology by writing a dissertation on plethora of cultural expressions found at your average renn fest!
Wait--I'm sure there are volumes written already, eh?

We don't get these Renaissance Festivals over here in the UK and I feel we are really missing out on something. If nothing else, they look to be so much fun! Thanks for posting.

Chas
