Hamish is a hard task master

We have our annual Folk Festival next month. Hamish is the excutive director of the event, and he has not only me working daily to rehearse the material I have to play with other artistes perfroming, but his staff of over 20 here have been working very hard cutting grass and clearing bushes all this weekend to prepare the site. He is due to inspect the site on the Eve before before the festival. As one would expect, there must not be a piece of grass out of place. He's a nice boss, but he works us hard.

No doubt when Hamish contacted us he was living it up in some first class train compartment on one of his relaxing weekends

Have you white washed the coal yet? Is the grass the right sort of green? If not make sure you get enough paint in of the correct shade of green. Have you dusted the top of the doors? Is the red carpet ready? Is it long enough, short enough, wide enough, narrow enough, the correct shade of red? Just trying to be helpful!

I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of Hamish's guiding hand next month. Good luck with your preparations.

Oh don't worry, Hamish will be travelling with his own press corps. Don't forget to cater for them too, Derek!

Just remember, if it's not moving, paint it. If it is moving, nail it down so it can't move, and then paint it.
