Hampton Roads VA Kilt Night – 4/4

To start the celebration of Tartan Day, David H convened a Kilt Night in Keagans Pub in Newport News. There was a good turn out of the Rabble and some friends of David’s from SAMS (Scottish-American Military Society).

But what really set apart this Kilt Night was we had our own piper! Through out the evening William would get up and pipe a tune much to the delight of all the patrons.

Tommy Tucker raffled off a basket-hilted sword to raise money for SAMS. Though not present the famed kilt maker Alexis Malcolm was the winner!


It was a great evening and I’ve made some new friends. David held a Kilt Night last year for Tartan Day, so it looks like he has started a tradition. I’m marking it down on my 2010 calendar.

Wow, I wish I was there. But Uncle Sam sent me to Florida to work. Weather was nic, but I was working.
