Hawick Heritage Hub Burns Supper

Well its that time of the year again folks, and yes that is a Border Collie about to bite the haggis, illustrated on the front cover of this year's programme, doesn't he have sharp fangs?

Waiting in Beanscene for my date to arrive, sorry for the poor quality of the shots, taken with the little pocket camera without using flash.
However I hope you will enjoy these pictures of a real Scottish Burns Supper held in the Scottish Borders.

Pre-dinner entertainment in the theatre upstairs from Beanscene in the old Tower Mill.

Up to the top floor to be piped in to dinner. Oor piper had tae cry off as he has just become a new dad, sae we were fiddled intae dinner by Jenni Borthwick, who also fiddled in the haggis.

Fair Fa' your honest sonsie face,
Great Chieftain o' the puddin' race,

His knife see rustic Labour dight....

Haggis 'n champit neeps 'n tatties, followed by oatcakes and cheese and tea or coffee and entertainment

After dinner entertainment

John Nichol delivers his recitation of Tam o'Shanter.

Thanks for sharing your pics. What is the tartan you're sporting for the evening?
