These youngsters were introduced to piping by the late Stuart Lammie, guitarist and piper in the Schiehallion quartet. Sadly Stuart died of cancer earlier this year, aged just fifty seven, and the tutoring role for the young pipers has been taken on by Malcolm Bruce and by Mackie McEwan, who is my next door neighbour. I sold my own bagpipes to the band a few years ago and Stuart often played them. Mackie was telling me today that a plaque is to be affixed to them to commemorate the fact that they were played by Stuart. I am not allowed to fund raise on xmarks but if anybody wants to contribute towards this young band you can contact m.j.mcewan@btinternet.com

Loved the videos. Good to know your bagpipes are still going strong with a new generation.
