    Hiking with Shauna

On such a beautiful day it was my pleasure to spend time with my beautiful daughter. She did not inherit my red hair but is truly a Celtic goddess. Our hike today was along the shores of the ancient lake Bonneville. A narrow shelf along the 5200 foot level around most of the mountains in the Salt Lake Valley. 10,000 years ago we would have been standing on the shores of a vast inland sea. The fall colors complemented an otherwise perfect day, temperatures in the low 60's, a great day to be out with my little girl.

It was quite hazy down in the valley, Not exactly the best pictures however in this part of the desert it is quite common, I guess the dust just blows in here from out in the west desert. The Mountain in the Last picture is Utah's own Ben Lomond

A great day for hiking in beautiful country for sure!

Looks like too many bees in the beehive making that sad smog.
