Hugh Mercer Day
As today was the birthday of patriot (Scottish, British, American) Hugh Mercer. I wore my USA Kilt 5 yarder in Robertson red modern. I had a chance to share Gen./Dr. Mercer’s story to several of the members of the gated community where I work. I took the afternoon off and went downtown with some gifts for the docents at Hugh Mercer’s Apothecary Shop museum in historic downtown Fredericksburg.

Afterwards went to the British Pub for a toast to Gen./Dr. Mercer. While there met Keith who knows of our site and is interested in making a X Kilt. Hopefully he will join and also come to the Fredericksburg Scottish Society Burn’s Supper.

BTW my avatar currently is the statue of General Mercer here in Fredericksburg. The only statute of him anywhere. As I will change it soon here it is below.

Our family went to the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop for a tour this Summer when we in Fredericksburg. They do a very nice job.
I know I was kilted but I can't remember which one I was wearing.

You must have also visited the Rising Sun Tavern just down the street from the Apothecary!
