    July 4th in Taos

We had a grand time marching in the Arroyo Seco parade, in a village just north of Taos, New Mexico.
Nigel, who is from Scotland, neglected to bring his kit with him. As fortune would have it, I just happened to have enough spares of everything to go around. Here we are in my garden before the parade.

Five of us at the parade! Nigel looks really good with his western hat and kilt combo! The Piper is Robert Knudsen. Also shown is noted artist Angus Macdonald.
Si Deus, quis contra? Spence and Brown on my mother's side, Johnston from my father, proud member of Clan MacDuff!

There is a gentleman in Salado, TX that wears his cowboy hat and boots with his kilt. I have tried to do the same, but my wife has nixed that idea.

Oooh my word. I can't be classed as a traditionalist but that's not a great look.
