    Killted Haole and More Scenics

Was hiking down at LePerouse Bay where the French guy by that name landed on Maui back when.

Surf was up and heavy crashing against the lava from last lava flow on Maui back in 1790.

The area is the Ahihi-Kinau Natural Reserve...very lush.

This morning was over at the Maui Ocean Center

And a pleat shot while I was peering through a telescope.

"Haole"... isn't that Hawaiian for white tourist?
At least you weren't wearing knee socks (not hose) with the sandals...

For sure know that Haole means "no breath" because the missionaries wouldn't go nose to nose and smell breath...and know it can be a derogatory term...but it also describes me when used properly. How could I NOT buy the shirt. Maui Built sells them along with other ethnic titles of Hawaii. Its gotten lots of laughs with me kilted, in sandals, with a camera and Maui cap....

I live in a tourist town and its been a REAL TREAT for me to BE a tourist for a change and act like the tourist I am...I'm lovin' it. But...unless I jump ship...gotta fly back to the mainland tomorrow.

Been checking the want ads...they seem to need counselors over here....hmmmm
