    Kilt #1 Pictures

Here are the first pictures of the new home-made kilt just before I went out for the Saturday night dance.

The tartan is Dress Erskine, 10oz wool. I've deliberately made the pleats small so that I could get a lot of them in. There are 29 (5/8" at the waist and 3/4" at the hips) and this makes the swish great when dancing.

Not perfect by any means, but not bad. During the dance this evening I was invited to a black tie ball in November provided that I wear this kilt for that evening.

The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer.
