Kilt #57 Macdonald of the Isles Weathered Hunting

Okay, I only have 31 kilts left, but this is the 57th kilt I've purchased.

Its a 16 ounce strome from Lochcarron hand sewn by Kathy Lare. Kilt #1073 for her.

It was at the post office at lunch hour, took it home to hang out the few shipping wrinkles. Pics are at night, but hey, will be a while before I can get some other pics.

With Bison Lewis Kilt hose and Tartan Red traditional garter ties, brown leather Stillwater Nightstalker sporran, and Z Coils. Didn't use the matching flashes with this color hose. For sure with others.

The pleat shot. A really large sett for sure. This is my 9th hand sewn kilt from Kathy Lare and I have one more on order with the downpayment in.
Her craftsmanship is incredible. Nearly beyond belief when I look at the details.

Like, hey, check out the top band. This is the front of the kilt and the top band matches all the way across the apron.

The colors in this tartan are weathered brown, gray, black, red, white.

For sure I'm gonna be dressed just like this (save the sgian dubh) tomorrow at work.

    Happy, happy, happy.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    Good Deal!
That's a really nice looking tartan. I like the somber tones, it shows the huge sett to its best advantage. The work is fantastic, it's hard to see the pleating in the back because it is so carefully done.

Wonderful looking kilt Ron, congratulations on another masterpiece, wonderful way to honour the MacDonald line.
