Kilt Night in Co. Springs, Birddog and Livingston

Sadly, it turned out it was just Livingston and I for this one. Hopefully next month or Oct we can get a good turn out further north. This was my first night out kilted, other than returning from the Renn Fair. The Livingstons were great to get together with. Why the @$^!* I didn't think of getting pics with us AND our far superior halves, I have no idea. Next time, Greg, we have to do that!

I'm on the right, Greg on the left. Don't mind the face, I'm happy. I just rarely smile. Have to work on that...Tartan is US Marines "Leatherneck", and Greg of course in Livingston. He can elaborate as far as Modern, Ancient, etc.

    The pleat photo...

Okay, smile is a little better in this one. Must be the Guinness...I came to realise that perhaps my hose were a bit high(hey, first time in hose, give me a break!) So, I turned them down once more later, then folded the patterned part back up. No pic of that. Over all, a nice night, and it was a pleasure meeting the Livingstons and making another friend.

How lucky for your ladies to have such splendid looking escorts!

You both look great and when any X Markers gather for good food and good drink in glad company it is a wonderful thing!

    Cheers

Great photos and you guys look fab. Don't fret about the low turn out. Just remember it's twice the number if it had only be you, who showed up!

Kevin, it was great meeting you, your lovely wife and friend. Sorry we couldn't stay any later with you but we were both beat. Slept until about 10 the next morning

You weren't at the table at Jack Quinn's when the older gentleman walked bay and gave the comment of nice skirt. That is probably the first time, other than co-workers harrassing me, that I have heard that comment. BUT, just as we got back to our car, there was a couple walking towards us and he gave a thumbs up and said "I like it!" More than made up for the previous comment.

I think you have a good idea about the next one being in Castle Rock on Oct 11. Good night to celebrate a couple birthdays.

Oh no, I was just walking back from the bar when that man said that; I did hear it. Good thing for that guy that Big Paddy wasn't playing that night; last time I was there and they were playing, there were no less than 4 kilts there that night. I also noticed he didn't say it to me, just you. I'm gonna stop here, I might turn Marine and forget my language.
Definately have to get together for both our birthdays, and Oct 11 sounds like a plan. Just have to make sure to get it scheduled off.

Hey Birddog, I know just what it feels like to go down to the Springs for a Kilt night and Livingston is the only other one who shows up. But he's always good company, so that makes up for it.

And, you guys are having Birthday/Kilt night on Oct.11? Just for my Daughter? That's her 16th birthday. How did you know?

Yes, Jock, it is THE kilt pin. I broke out the magnifying glass, but could not find any hallmarks. But to me, that doesn't make it any less valuable, given it's history.

Good looking pair; I also have a Leatherneck (to honor the Marines-I couldn't fire a Pop-Gun). Didn't realise how great it looks from a distance.
