    I give vest a 4 as is. It is too long. I agree very much with Cavscout that a thick simple belt (matching leathers) would do a world of good tying things together.

    I have to agree with everyone comments. I would say it's about 5-6 as is.

    Since you plan to wear this item alot then I would in-'vest' (:rolleyes: ) in tailoring the the vest. Wear your kilt when you go and shop around for the tailor with the most experience. It may cost alot more money but it would make the outfit 8+.

    I believe Hamish has a few picture of him wearing some vests with his kilts.

    I actually don't mind the vest at all. It might be a tad too long but so what, it's got that great "weathered" look that lends itself well to your casual image.
    Good job with the sporran and boots matching as well. Throw on a nice thick brown belt and you'll be all set.
    Inside me is a thin woman screaming to get out. But I can usually shut the b*tch up with chocolate!
