Kilted In Buenos Aires
Four days after the wedding (http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/w...017/index.html) we left for a week in Buenos Aires. What a fantastic place to visit! Decided it was easier to respond 'Si!' to all the questions of '?Scotia' as my Spanish was not up to explaining what a US resident New Zealander was doing wearing a kilt. Anyway, judging by the number of calls, horns beeped etc, the kilt was well received down there.
A few photos:
Outside the Casa Rosada waiting for the ghost of Evita to appear on the balcony:

A little later in the Plaza de Mayo. How's that for the power of the kilt?

We found the local Hooter's!!

We burned the candle at both ends and in the middle. This was waiting in the hotel lobby the last evening for the airport pick up. Not the best shot, but says it all!

Great pics, thanks.
Isn't there an Argentinian tartan and a Scot's heritage/presence there?
