    Kilted in Cape May

Here is a pic of my sister-in-law and me in Cape May, NJ. It was taken on June 19 after I had just piped for a wedding on the harbor.

Despite having lived in New Jersey for a while, never made it to Cape May. What's the memorial you're standing by?

And...is that....(gasp) a baseball cap? Sharp look though.

    Hi Ron,

Funny thing is Ron, I saw you in Cape May County a couple of weeks ago! Amerikilts had a stand at the Cold Spring Village Celtic Festival, and there you were with your turtle tattoo handing on their tent!

It's a ship's bell-- "This bell served aboard the S.S. Cape May from 1943-1969, and saw action in Europe during World War II. Follwing the war, the bell, ship & crew served in peacetime commerce.

In 1974 the bell was presented to the city of Cape May by the U.S. Maritime Administration, and now resides near the NE end of the Washington Street Mall - where it is greeted by thousands of visitors a year."

Since my name is Bell, I couldn't pass up the shot. Yes, that is a Guinness baseball cap. I switched out of the glengarry after the wedding.

Thanks for that bit of history. Okay, Guinness....don't think anyone could say that cap doesn't go with a kilt....
