    Kilted in Iraq

One of my reenactment buddies, Al Spencer, is a member of the West Virginia Nat'l Guard. Part of his essential gear on his deployment to Iraq was one of his philabegs! I believe he made the kilt himself (and I'm not sure what the tartan is), but here are some pix. I partcularly like the Jacobite cockade on his helmet...!

That is too cool! Was he actually on duty in the kilt or was that just for the camera?

Either way that's awesome to see!

Good looking "philly"! Please pass along our admiration not only for his devotion to duty, but to looking stylish (and cool!) while doing so.

Gotta admire those lucky buggers who ended up in the tiny little bases out there, I never could have gotten away with going anywhere but the shower.

    Great looking uniform.

Be sure to extend our admiration and thank him for his service on behalf of this old Marine.
