    Kilted in Japan

Yesterday I cycled to an Antique fair with my mate kenta who made my new Jacobite style sporran that I'm wearing and as you can see it's ( Hanami season ) cherry blossom season as well. The kilt I'm wearing is my economy Black watch from SWK . This Sat we are holding our school Hanami party but I have to work before attending it , so it will be my first time kilted at work.

It'd be cool to hear the Japanese reaction to kilts.

I thought I was alone in my kilt in Japan. Apparently not.
Reactions everywhere I found very discreet; I think I was photoed once or twice behind my back, but only once did anyone ask for my photo, and, judging by the size fo his apparatus, I think he must have been a professional.
Actually, kilts are not unknown in Japan; all the Scottish country dancers have at least one, but they change before and after dancing.

Enjoyed the cherry blossom there, of course -- but I think there's more spring colour right here in Europe.

    Great pics!

The cherry trees are blossoming here in the canyonlands too.

We get a LOT of Japanese tourists in our little town since we're so close to the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, Zion, Bryce, et.al. The Japanese tourists like to hang out at our old west type bars where I'm known to be found dancing kilted. They always go for pictures of the kilted guy dancing at the old west type bar.

K.K. your outfit looks great. This is a great time of year in Japan. O-hanami is a lot of fun, and the sakura are beautiful. Enjoy them for they don't last long.

I have one small request. Please, next time, smile for the camera. Kilts make us happy.
